THE GHOSTS OF SMITHFIELD HOUSE

By Joy Gee
Music by Gayle Hewit

Ever wanted to feel like you stepped straight into an episode of your favorite supernatural series?

A haunted house. A skeptical ghost hunter. A charming spirit with unfinished business.

The Ghosts of Smithfield House is a haunting new musical that blends mystery, humor, heart, and the supernatural into an unforgettable theatrical experience. When paranormal investigator and college professor Macy Carter arrives at the infamous Smithfield House, she expects little more than creaking floorboards, cold drafts, and overblown ghost stories. What she doesn’t expect is the ghost of Captain Daniel Smithfield—a charming 19th-century spirit whose past may be more tangled with the house than even he may realize.

As buried secrets rise to the surface and the walls of Smithfield House begin to reveal their history, Macy finds herself caught between past and present, logic and belief, and a growing connection that defies time itself. But not every spirit in the house is as welcoming, and some ghosts prefer to keep the past exactly where it belongs.

Part supernatural mystery, part romantic comedy, and full of haunting melodies and heartfelt surprises, The Ghosts of Smithfield House invites audiences into a campy supernatural world where love, loss, and unfinished business refuse to stay buried.

Striving to produce an exceptional intimate theatre adventure.
Like any theatre company, we started with a desire to tell a story. With the help of California Stage and a few friends, that desire was met...and Resurrection Theatre Company was born. As the years have passed, a vast bastion of local talent has come into this company, leaving their marks with their performances, lighting, designs, direction, and devotion to the shared human experience of theatre. The love and energy of these people allowed us to present wonderful works of art.

AND WE STILL HAVE STORIES TO TELL.
